Aftercare Instructions

Tattoo Aftercare

After getting your tattoo, it's important to follow these steps for proper aftercare:

1. Leave the bandage on for 1- 2 hours, then gently hand wash the area with unscented soap and water.

2. Pat the tattoo dry with a clean paper towel, avoid rubbing or using a cloth towel as it can leave micro fibers in the skin.

3. Apply a thin layer of unscented, alcohol-free moisturizer to keep the skin hydrated, but avoid too much or it can clog pores.

4. Avoid direct sunlight, swimming, or soaking in water for at least two weeks.

5. Don't pick or scratch the tattoo as it heals to prevent infection.

6. Wear loose, breathable clothing to avoid friction on the tattooed area.

During the first two days of healing you can apply an ice pack to the area in 15 minute increments three times a day, this will minimize any pain and swelling. Be sure to place a clean paper towel between the ice pack and the tattoo!

Remember, everyone's healing process is different, so if you notice any unusual redness, swelling, or signs of infection, contact me right away.
